'Unreal' Cadbury chocolate discontinued in the UK 23 years ago back again at B&M
Cadbury has reintroduced Dream white chocolate in the UK through Australian imports, including lemon-flavored variants, responding to consumer nostalgia and demand for discontinued products.
More than 23 years after its UK removal, Cadbury Dream Slices Lemon has been spotted and is available at B&M stores nationwide.
Cadbury says the bar was axed because changing customer tastes led to its UK discontinuation a year after launch, while retailers have imported the Australian Slices range and included Dream in imported Cadbury Favourites boxes.
At The Range in July, Dream has made several other UK appearances in 2025, while the Australian Slices variant combines Dream white chocolate with lemon‑flavoured shortcake pieces and coconut.
Shoppers responded online with excitement about the return, praising the new bar with comments like 'Lemon and white chocolate, yum.' and 'That will be unreal.' from UK shoppers.
Available abroad in Australia and other markets, Dream remains sold in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, fitting a wider pattern of Cadbury product launches and discontinued-returned items in the UK retail market.
