University Of Mainz Team Identifies Schmidt Rank Threshold For Deterministic Bell Measurements

Until now, conclusive photonic Bell measurements beyond two dimensions demanded additional photons or entanglement. This limitation is overcome by demonstrating a deterministic discrimination of all d² Bell states using only a rank-d auxiliary entangled state.
