A new unique underwater cable is being planned from Kiruna in Sweden, under the ice at the North Pole and all the way to Asia. A project that is now identified by the EU as a strategic high priority – and is estimated to cost over SEK 21 billion. – This is important for Sweden, not least for the security of critical infrastructure, says Minister of Civil Affairs Erik Slottner (KD).
