Union for First Student authorizes strike if no deal is reached on contract negotiations by March 31

- "We don't want to strike, but we will if the company doesn't," said Jean Auguste, bus worker and member of Teamsters Local 251. The union also filed an unfair labor practice charge against First Student.
- First Student effectively canceled bargaining scheduled for March 30 and 31 to pursue what the union called "frivolous litigation." The company now faces a March 31 deadline to reach an agreement.
