Union County bridge repairs begin next week
UNION COUNTY, N.C. – A section of Billy Howey Road will close next week allowing N.C. Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews to safely repair the bridge deck over East Fork Twelve Mile Creek. Officials estimate repairs will take up to five weeks to complete. A detour will be in place for drivers along New Town Road, Potter Road, Raymond Austin Road, and Pleasant Grove Road, returning to Billy Howey Road.
