Under Trump pressure, UC says student governments are banned from boycotting Israel
Amid growing anti-Israel boycotts and Trump administration opposition, the University of California said student governments are banned from boycotting Israel or any other country.
School entities, including student governments, associated with the University of California are banned from boycotting Israel, as the Trump administration continues to fight anti-Semitism on campuses with imminent cuts in funds. UC President Michael Drake told campuses in a letter that boycotts linked to a “country in particular” are considered a violation of university policy.
