A 12-year-old boy died last night after being shot in the head inside his home in the Villa Muñeco neighborhood, Mayor Edilberto Romero confirmed. The house was empty at the time of the incident, as the boy's mother was on the main island with his stepfather, who had a court date related to federal probation.

A 12-year-old boy died at around 10:00pm on Tuesday after being shot at a residence in the village of Muñeco, Culebra. Culebra barracks reportedly received a call warning about the situation. When the police arrived, they found the child’s body shot. At the moment the circumstances of these events are unknown. The Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) in the Fajardo area investigates.
