Slovenia's economic growth will be almost two percentage points higher than the spring forecast.
The Office for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development of the Republic of Slovenia (UMAR) has significantly improved its economic growth forecast for this year. Instead of a 2% growth in gross domestic product (GDP), it now expects 3.8% growth, which is mainly a result of a significant acceleration in the first half of the year. In 2027 and 2028, growth will slow down to 2.5% and 2.3%, respectively.
The government today adopted a preliminary revision of the state budget after reviewing the autumn Umar analysis, which raised this year's economic growth forecast by 1.8 percentage points to 3.8 percent.
