Ukranian Drone Debris Damages Russia's Ust-Luga, Vysotsk Ports, Other Regions Report Attacks
Ukrainian drones damaged Baltic Sea export terminals and cut power in Sevastopol, while Russian officials said 56 drones were shot down.
On Monday, Ukrainian drone strikes damaged the Baltic Sea ports of Vysotsk and Ust-Luga, while causing a power blackout in Sevastopol, Crimea, home to the Black Sea Fleet.
These attacks target major Russian energy hubs; Ust-Luga is one of Russia's largest oil export outlets, with Baltic and Black Sea ports reaching nearly 3 million barrels per day in June.
Local governor Alexander Drozdenko reported 56 drones shot down via Telegram, while the Yaroslavl region governor reported two injuries and 70 drones neutralized overnight; drones also struck an industrial site in Dzerzhinsky district, Kaluga region.
Russian-Appointed head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov reported a woman killed in a drone strike in Kerch, though authorities in Sevastopol later confirmed power supplies to households have been restored.
Ukraine has previously targeted Russian energy infrastructure to undermine Moscow's war efforts, with sustained strikes on oil refineries triggering fuel shortages and price spikes nationwide.
