Ukrainian Strikes Kill Four in Crimea, Russia Says
Kremlin-installed officials said the strikes hit a non-residential area in Simferopol and a commuter train, as air defenses intercepted more than 20 drones in Sevastopol.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian strikes on the Russia-annexed Crimea peninsula killed four people, according to Kremlin-installed officials, targeting a commuter train in eastern Crimea and non-residential facilities in Simferopol.
Sergei Aksyonov, the Russia-appointed head of Crimea, reported that a drone strike on a commuter train killed one person and injured three, while attacks on non-residential facilities in Simferopol killed three and injured seven.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said such strikes enable Ukraine 'to end this war on equal footing,' while the Russia-installed governor of Sevastopol reported intercepting more than 20 Ukrainian drones.
Russian shelling yesterday killed three civilians in Kramatorsk, one of Ukraine's 'fortress cities' near the front line, while eight people were injured near Dnipro after Moscow promised 'systematic' strikes on Tuesday.
Ukrainian attacks on Moscow's oil industry included a strike on an oil terminal in St Petersburg on Wednesday, reflecting Kyiv's ongoing strategy of targeting energy infrastructure to disrupt the Kremlin's war machine.
