The civil aviation authority of Moldova reported that the appearance of Ukrainian aircraft at Markulesti airport is related to an official request by Ukraine for temporary flights.
Three Ukrainian aircraft overflew the area of the Republic of Moldova and landed at the International Airport Marculesti. The flights were carried out on the basis of an authorisation issued by the responsible authorities, by prior coordination on diplomatic channels, in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development. The clarification was made on Thursday, 14 August, by the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC).
