Ukraine-Romania road border crossing at Bila Tserkva nears opening
Zakarpattia region is in the final stage of preparations for opening the new Bila Tserkva–Sighetu Marmației road border crossing with Romania, which is expected to reduce congestion at existing checkpoints and facilitate transport links with European Union countries, according to Ukraine's Ministry for Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure.
During a public information session, Madawaska-Restigouche MP Guillaume Deschênes-Thériault confirmed that the Saint-Léonard land border crossing should open in 2030. This meeting took place on July 13.
The government said that the construction of a new international road crossing point “Bila Tserkva — Siget-Marmatiei” in the Transcarpathian region is entering the final stage.
