Česká televizeEuropean and American security guarantees for Ukraine could replace the country's NATO membership, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted in a WhatsApp chat with journalists on Sunday, Reuters reported. He stressed that this would be a compromise on the Ukrainian side and such guarantees would have to be legally binding.
As part of the peace agreement, the Trump administration is prepared to provide Kiev with security assurances based on article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, written by Axios, which, according to the publication, must be approved by the U.S. Congress.
