France's Macron and Ukraine's Zelensky pave way for jets and air defence deal
President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky signed a letter of intent on Monday for Ukraine to acquire up to 100 Rafale fighter jets and other air defence hardware from French companies, the French presidency said.
The Ukrainian President is visiting Paris and has signed a "Declaration of Intent on Cooperation in the Acquisition by Ukraine of French Defence Equipment" which, according to Elysée, is "on a horizon of about ten years".
Hardly the Ukrainian president arrives on the tarmac of the military base of Villacoublay, the president of the Republic and his Kiev counterpart announced the future purchase of 100 Rafale by Ukraine.
