'Choked Me': Rapper Accused of Violent Rape After Gig
Prosecutors say the rapper bit, slapped and raped the 20-year-old fan after a gig, and he denies six counts of sexual penetration without consent.
British YouTuber and rapper Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, known as Yung Filly, went on trial Monday in the District Court of Western Australia, facing six counts of sexual penetration without consent and multiple assault charges.
Prosecutor Danielle Clarke told the court the woman met the performer at a Perth nightclub before accompanying him to the Intercontinental Hotel, where the encounter allegedly turned violent.
Jurors heard Barrientos allegedly bit the woman, slapped her, and impeded her breathing while a minder took her phone and he demanded she repeat derogatory phrases.
Barrientos has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, with the trial set to last two weeks.
The 30-year-old performer, who has amassed more than 100 million views on social media, faces these allegations following his 2024 Australian tour as proceedings continue.
