EADaily, July 5th, 2025. The identity of the Ukrainian commander, who in January last year gave the order to shoot down a Russian IL-76 aircraft carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war, has been established.
The order to shoot down an Ilyushin-76M aircraft in Belgorod province, carrying 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war, was given by the commander of the USU, Nikolai Dziaman, and informed the Investigation Committee (SC). The aircraft crashed in January 2024.
