Richard Knighton said Russia is probing UK defences with cyberattacks, sabotage and airspace incursions as ministers prepare a delayed spending plan.
- Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton warned the UK faces its most dangerous period in decades, stating in his 35-year career, "this is the most dangerous time I have known in my working life."

- Defence Secretary John Healey said on Monday the government is "determined to publish" the delayed Defence Investment Plan before the Nato summit in Ankara, Turkey, beginning July 7.
