Flights Cancelled as Major Airline Plunged Into Administration
The private jet operator’s administrator is assessing rescue options after cashflow problems, while employees are being helped with statutory redundancy claims.
Zenith Aviation Limited entered administration on May 15, resulting in the cancellation of all flights and the loss of 41 jobs. The luxury private jet operator, based at London Biggin Hill, ceased operations after 13 years in business.
Paul Hargreaves of Nexus Corporate Solutions Limited was appointed administrator on May 15, citing "cashflow issues, debtors not paying, and historic ownership and management issues" as the primary causes of insolvency.
Opul Jets acquired the firm early last year, though it relinquished control in December; the company's fleet includes Bombardier Learjet 75, Learjet 45, Citation XLS, and Challenger 605 aircraft.
Hargreaves is currently assessing company assets and assisting former employees with statutory redundancy entitlements while evaluating potential rescue or buyout options for the business.
This collapse follows luxury holiday company Salamander Voyages entering administration last month. Several airlines have entered liquidation or administration throughout 2026, reflecting broader turbulence within the aviation industry.
