The meeting took place on Tuesday morning at the Hacienda Palace and, according to what he could find out, it left a frustrating balance for the industrialists. The UIA again presented its 38-point document, but did not obtain from the officials any commitment to advance their claims.
In a scenario marked by manufacturing contraction and energy tariff hikes of up to 100%, the industrial leadership approached the executive branch with a set of fiscal and credit proposals. Officials showed receptivity but subordinated any progress to the restrictions of public accounts, while official reports omit to specify the specific impact on the manufacturing plants of Rosario and the province of Santa Fe.
The manufacturing plant meets with the government on Tuesday and will put on the table measures to relieve SMEs, in a context of falling production, increased costs and difficulties in accessing financing.
