Uber acquires Denmark’s biggest taxi firm Dantaxi

Uber bought Denmark's largest taxi company, Dantaxi, on Wednesday. On Friday, all of Dantaxis' previous board members resigned. In their place, two Uber Denmark top executives have joined, along with Dantaxi's CEO, Carsten Aastrup. This is reported by Watchmedier. Uber's purchase of Dantaxi also means that 3,500 Danish drivers will become part of the American ride-hailing service's platform.

Uber has acquired Denmark’s largest taxi firm, Dantaxi, in a deal with private equity group Triton. The move brings more than 3,500 professional drivers under Uber’s platform across 75 of Denmark’s 98 municipalities.The acquisition follows Uber’s launch in Copenhagen earlier this year.
