UBC training facility for health-care professionals opens in Surrey

A new training facility for in-demand health-care positions has opened at UBC in Surrey, near the city's hospital.
Education Minister Rachna Singh and Dr. Vincent Wong announced the facility, which will train students in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and midwifery.
The facility will accept 20 master's students in physical therapy, 16 in occupational therapy, and eight midwifery students annually, funded with $24.9 million.
