UAB holds off Akron in second win of the season

Despite donning new black jerseys, UAB didn’t earn many style points during its 31-28 win over Akron inside Protective Stadium on Saturday night. UAB’s defense continued to sputter against an offense that entered the week ranked among the nation’s worst statistically.
