According to media reports, the locations in Salzburg's Old Town, on Linzer Landstraße and in Innsbruck's city centre are affected. Starbucks confirmed "a comprehensive review of its branch portfolio in Austria" compared to "Tiroler Tageszeitung", "Oberösterreichische Nachrichten" and "Kronen Zeitung".
After the abrupt departure for the Starbucks site in Innsbruck's old town, it is still unclear how the two remaining branches in Tyrol will continue to operate. Starbucks Austria head Jessica Dubois, a Tyrolean, also had to close two locations in Linz and Salzburg.
