The Prefectural Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (Chairman Atsuo Kobashigawa) announced on the 18th that in its August Prefectural Business Trend Survey (1,635 companies in 22 industries), the business conditions index (DI) for all industries was minus 9.1, a 4.6 point deterioration from the previous month. This is the first time in four months that the DI for all industries has worsened.
