- Late Sunday, heavy downpours produced two inches of rainfall within three hours, prompting a flash flood warning as storms formed along a frontal boundary, National Weather Service reported.
- Friends who reported them missing told police that one friend found the female at the creek edge and officers later recovered the male about 100 yards downstream with the San Antonio Fire Department rescue team.
- Chief William McManus said investigators found no foul play and the third person was found safe, noting, `Both of them, we believe, got washed up in the water last night or this morning`.
- City officials said several water rescues occurred during Sunday night storms, and officials warned residents to avoid floodwaters as the region is expected to remain dry through Friday after storms move east on Monday.
