- The announcement follows a "significant" staff reduction at developer Polyarc over the last year; according to former employee Alex Holodak, the studio cut staff after one of its in-development projects lost funding last year.
- Other studios are pursuing similar transitions, as Vertigo Games recently revealed it is adapting its VR-exclusive remake of the 7th Guest into a standard console and Windows game slated for release soon.
