Two Edinburg women charged after app tracks stolen vehicle to Progreso bridge

Two Edinburg women were arrested Sunday after attempting to re-enter the country in a stolen vehicle.  Yadhira Berenice Rodriguez, 22, and Ruby Zapata, 18, were charged with auto theft.  According to a news release, Edinburg police responded to the 2400 block of Moonlight Lane where the victim reported her 2024 Jeep Gladiator had been stolen from its designated parking space.  The victim realized her vehicle was missing after receiving a call fr…
