Two die in head-on crash on Highway 71 in rural Belgrade, Minnesota

BELGRADE — Two people were killed in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 71 in Stearns County on Friday evening, the Minnesota State Patrol reported. The State Patrol identified the victims as Linda Shirleen Erickson, 63, of Sauk Centre, and Paul Joseph Matthys, 55, of Osakis. They were the drivers and lone occupants of two vehicles that collided on the highway near the intersection with 265th Street in Lake George Township at 5:13 p.m. Friday. …
