On Monday (July 10), the Saanich Police Department received a report at approximately 9 p.m. about a cougar sighting in the 4400-block of Cedar Hill Road. Officers did not locate the cat but notified B.C. conservation officers of the sighting. On Tuesday morning, at approximately 6 a.m., police received information on a second reported coug sighting near the park.
