Two cougar sightings within 10 hours near popular Saanich park

Saanich police are urging members of the public to be careful after two reported cougar sightings within 10 hours near PKOLS. On Monday (July 10), the Saanich Police Department received a report at approximately 9 p.m. about a cougar sighting in the 4400-block of Cedar Hill Road. Officers did not locate the cat but notified B.C. conservation officers of the sighting. On Tuesday morning, at approximately 6 a.m., police received information on a second reported coug sighting near the park.
