Two dead after being pulled from sea with search to continue

Emergency services recovered two bodies amid severe sea conditions including 3-meter waves; searches continue for one missing person off the East Yorkshire coast.

  • Late on Friday, Humberside Police confirmed a second body was recovered and said circumstances are not suspicious while searches continue for one more person.
  • Hornsea Inshore Rescue said horrendous conditions stopped it launching and called off a public swim, while East Riding of Yorkshire council confirmed a severe weather protocol and freezing temperatures overnight.
