Two Men Arrested After Man Injured in Suspected Shooting
Two 26-year-old men are in custody as detectives investigate a suspected shooting that left a man in his 20s with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, September 1, a man in his 20s arrived at a hospital in Leeds with gunshot wounds to both arms; police believe the shooting occurred on Cambrian Street in Holbeck.
Authorities established a police cordon on Cambrian Street following the incident, as the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Two men, both 26, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remain in custody as officers continue their enquiries into the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Bates of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team said, "We understand that any discharge of a firearm will cause some concern in the wider community and local residents can expect to see an increased police presence."
