The district court in Utrecht has sentenced 57-year-old Richard van den B. from Woudenberg to 20 years in prison and compulsory psychiatric treatment on Tuesday for repeatedly sexually abusing very young children. Some of the victims were drugged with GHB. Van den B.'s ex-wife, 34-year-old Evertje van E., who was also involved in the abuse, received a 12-year prison sentence and compulsory psychiatric treatment.

The babysitting couple Richard van den B. (57) and Evertje van E. (34) from Woudenberg were sentenced on Tuesday afternoon to 20 and 12 years in prison respectively for sexually abusing five young children from two families for years. Both were also given a compulsory psychiatric treatment order and must pay compensation of 20,000 to 24,000 euros per child.
