Weather France places 21 départements of the north-east and center-east in orange alert due to the thunderstorms expected this Sunday afternoon and in the evening.
Météo-France extended the orange thunderstorm vigilance to 21 departments of north-east and center-east Sunday afternoon and placed Isère and the two Savoie in vigilance rain-floods in the evening.
The eastern and north-eastern parts of the country will experience a "significant stormy episode" with a "high probability of violent phenomena".

Twenty-one departments were placed on Sunday 20 July by Météo-France in orange vigilance for risk of thunderstorms. The areas concerned are Alsace (67, 68), Franche-Comté (70, 25, 39), Saône-et-Loire, Rhône-Alpes (42, 69, 01, 74, 73, 38, 26, 07), Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Vosges, Haute-Marne, Côte-d'Or and the Territoire de Belfort. Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Isère are placed in rain-flood orange vigilance from 20 hours and until 6 hours…
The storms, which can be accompanied by strong gusts of wind and hail, will circulate Sunday in the afternoon and evening.
