It remains unclear what President Karol Nawrocki will do regarding the SAFE implementation bill. Media reports suggest that direct negotiations between the government and the president have stalled in recent days.
Although the bill authorizing the government to take out a loan from SAFE has not yet been finally passed by parliament, Donald Tusk is trying to put pressure on President Karol Nawrocki. "The president has the final decision here in the form of a 0-1 vote – or he will sign it," said Minister Marcin Przydacz from the Chancellery of the Polish People's Party.
Karol Nawrocki faces a difficult decision regarding the SAFE program. The government is expected to develop a plan to circumvent a potential presidential veto.
