A Turkish court has removed opposition leader Özgür Özel from office. In conversation with SPIEGEL, he tells President Erdoğan the fight and calls for EU sanctions against the government.
The judicial dismissal of Özgür Özel at the head of the CHP provides for sharp criticism. 262 writers accuse the government of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of an attack on democratic fundamental rights.
