- Citing judicial sources, broadcaster Habertürk reported investigations are underway against clubs and players, with some 3,700 players and three referees also under scrutiny.
- Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu called the situation a `moral crisis` and an ethical problem, warning Turkish soccer’s reputation depends on the sanctity of effort and noting improved referees' salaries last year and this year.
