Tudor Duma, known as "Maru", was detained by DIICOT, accused of giving drugs to Rareș Ion, known as Castron, the 20-year-old who died two days ago from a methadone overdose.

A 20-year-old from Bucharest live-streamed himself doing drugs with a friend, who was presumably also his dealer. The victim ingested so much of the drug that he passed out during the video, but even then no ambulance was called. The young man eventually died the next day after being released from the hospital.

Six people were detained by DIICOT prosecutors for high-risk drug trafficking. According to prosecutors, between 2024 and April 2025, the defendants allegedly purchased, possessed and sold cannabis to consumers in Mehedinți County.
