President Trump signed an executive order last month, “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History,” which targets the Smithsonian and charges renowned historians and affiliated scholars with a “concerted and widespread effort to rewrite our nation’s history.”
The U.S. President imposed a warning on the outside of the exhibition that warns: the museum would present a "distorted" version of national history. This is only the last chapter of a struggle for the control of public memory
