US President Donald Trump said the war with Iran was close to over, telling the world to brace for an “amazing two days”, as the army chief of mediator Pakistan arrived in Tehran in a bid to prevent a renewed conflict.
The U.S. President said he thought that the war was "almost over" and referred to the upcoming resumption of discussions in Pakistan, believing that Tehran wanted to "really reach an agreement".
VIDEO - Last weekend, a first round of discussions with US Vice-President JD Vance had failed, without however leading to a break in the ceasefire that came into effect on 8 April.
US President Donald Trump thanks Pakistani army chief Asim Munir for his commitment to a diplomatic solution and suggests new talks in Islamabad later this week. Iran, however, laments the United States' lack of good will.
