VOA Journalist Sue Kari Lake, Trump Admin Over Outlet Shutdown: 'The Chilling Of First Amendment Speech'

VOA journalists sued the Trump administration for shutting down the network, asking a federal court to restore the outlet that supplies news around the world.

A hearing in a US court is scheduled for March 24 in a lawsuit by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty against the US Global Media Agency (USAGM) over the suspension of a grant approved by the US Congress.

Reporters Without Borders is suing the federal agency US Agency for Global Media. The lawsuit follows Donald Trump's executive order to cut off support for the state-funded and independent news agency Voice of America.
