- The seven projects together now total 6.2 gigawatts and would cover about 185 square miles in Esmeralda County, developed by NextEra Energy Resources, Leeward Renewable Energy, Arevia Power, and Invenergy.
- Economic forecasts show Nevada state and local tax authorities expected $6 billion in taxes and many thousands of jobs, while mining and data center industries rely on wind and solar growth.
- Under U.S. law, agencies must cite reasons to cancel projects after DOI announced a November 11, 2023 Notice of Intent, as the EIA projects 64 GW of capacity in 2025.
