A 47-year-old Holon resident was arrested at the last minute before boarding a flight and fled the country, after allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old minor. The police, who opened a quick investigation, were able to trace his escape route and arrested him at Ben Gurion Airport as he was ready to take off (in Israel).
The 17-year-old was taken to Wolfson with penetrating injuries, and while the police were taking his testimony and collecting evidence at the scene, the suspect had already made his way to Ben Gurion Airport. Cooperation between Holon police and the Ben Gurion Airport area led to the arrest of the 47-year-old city resident, just before he tried to leave the country. This morning, the police will request an extension of his detention.
