Treadmill Recall Expands to Include About 47,000 Units
About 47,000 treadmills face fire risk from loose power cords; 27 overheating reports logged with no injuries, Johnson Health Tech offers free tool-free replacement cords.
- Johnson Health Tech North America expanded the recall on Jan. 22, 2026, saying about 47,000 Matrix Retail and Vision treadmills are included, in coordination with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
- The defect stems from units manufactured from April 2012 through May 2025 that share a straight power cord with no power-cord bracket, Johnson Health Tech reported.
- Covered models include Matrix Retail T30, TF30, T50, TF50 and T75 and Vision T9800, TF20, T40 and T80 models, with serial numbers on the lower front crossbar near the power switch, and affected units were sold at retail prices ranging from $2,100 to $8,100.
- The company is mailing an automatic locking-style replacement power cord that requires no tools, and owners of affected treadmills should ensure the cord is fully inserted before each use until repaired.
- Following an earlier 2024 recall of Matrix T1 and T3 Series commercial treadmills, Johnson Health Tech has received 27 reports of overheating but no injuries, affecting nationwide U.S. retail and online sales.
