Russian troops have become victims of sabotage: when the soldiers switched on threatening glasses, they exploded. Such glasses are used to control drones. The equipment was supplied by a donor who intervened in the supply chain.
Russian soldiers received a batch of helmets with glasses for controlling drones that were modified to explode when turned on, writes Russian media taken by Business Insider. A spokesman for Russian electronic equipment distributor JSC NPP told the state news agency TASS that one person donated the glasses as humanitarian aid.
A Russian media has recently reported an incident in which teledirected RV helmets, originally intended as humanitarian aid for Russian soldiers, were manipulated to explode when they lit up (via Business Insider). Telegram Razved Dozor's pro-Russian channel shared images supposedly showing virtual reality helmets even in their boxes, along with images of how they were disassembled to reveal the hidden explosives inside.
