King Willem-Alexander and Prime Minister Rob Jetten (D66) signed the royal decrees on Monday, officially marking the resignation of the Schoof cabinet.

Former Prime Minister Dick Schoof symbolically handed over the gavel of the Council of Ministers to the new Prime Minister, Rob Jetten of the D66 party. Upon entering the ministry, the nonpartisan former Prime Minister asked Jetten if everything had gone well with the swearing-in of the cabinet, which Jetten confirmed. "That's a good start," Schoof said.
