Trans girls can no longer join Girlguiding, organisation says
Girlguiding’s policy change follows a Supreme Court ruling defining ‘woman’ by biological sex; the charity has about 300,000 youth members and 80,000 volunteers nationwide.

- This decision was made in response to the UK Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that defined sex as biological sex under the Equality Act 2010.
- There will be no immediate changes for current young trans members, but more information will be shared next week.
