Trail Regional Airport loses use of critical south runway
Airport officials say the new federal criteria force aircraft to circle before landing, disrupting Pacific Coastal Airlines and medevac flights in poor weather.
The Trail Regional Airport will seek an exemption from a Transport Canada change to final approach protocols. The straight-in south runway approach on Runway 34 was shut down because it no longer meets new Transport Canada criteria.
