- Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc's office stated protecting Canadian workers and businesses from "unjustified actions" remains the priority, as Trump predicted Canadian officials will apologize and agree to a "fair" deal within three or four weeks.
- Trump characterized Canada as "one of the worst countries in the entire world," arguing that Canadian political attacks on him ultimately harm only Canadian citizens, while stating "I think a deal will be made, but it's gotta be a fair deal.
