Tractor-trailer crash closes I-70 East between MD-97 and MD-32
Eastbound I-70 is closed in Howard County between MD-97 and MD-32 due to a crash involving two tractor-trailers and another vehicle. Roof trusses are scattered on the road and a Maryland State Police helicopter is currently landing on I-70. Traffic is being detoured to MD-97 to MD-144 and back to MD-32 to Eastbound I-70. Delays remain, avoid the area or you can take Baltimore National Pike as your alternate.
Multi-vehicle crash closes I-70 in both directions with wreck remnants scattered across lanes
WEST FRIENDSHIP, Md. — Two trucks and a vehicle collided Wednesday morning, closing both directions of Interstate 70 in Howard County. Check traffic map The Maryland State Highway Administration said I-70 is blocked at Maryland Route 32 in West Friendship. Traffic was detoured around the incident via Maryland Routes 97, 144 and 32. SHA said the crash left roof trusses strewn across the eastbound lanes of the highway. This report will be updated.
