Toyota to build new 100,000-units-a-year car factory in India

- Toyota Kirloskar Motor currently operates two manufacturing plants in Bidadi, Karnataka, with combined capacity reaching up to 342,000 units annually across approximately 432 acres.
- Located in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar District's Bidkin Industrial Area, the new facility will manufacture a new SUV model and employ about 2,800 people at launch.
- The new plant will encompass the full range of core automotive manufacturing processes, including stamping, welding, painting, and assembly operations.
